The hunting fair for trade visitors and end consumers has its origins in the Ellingen residence in Middle Franconia. It was held there for the first time in 2014 under the name "Internationale Jagd & Fischereitage". What began with 150 exhibitors and 10,000 visitors developed into a stronghold for the hunting industry in the years that followed. In 2018, the fair moved to Schloss Grünau near Neuburg a. i.e. Danube around. On the one hand, the former hunting lodge of the Wittelsbach family offered enough space for the ever-increasing number of exhibitors and attractions, on the other hand, the right ambience. In 2019, Schützen replaced Fischer as partners, and the fair was renamed Internationale Jagd & Schützentage. From October 14th to 16th, 2022, the trade fair will open its doors for the third time under this name. The event of the family-run Munich company Reich Messen GmbH with 400 exhibitors and 25,000 visitors in 2021 is now the largest outdoor trade fair for hunters and shooters in Germany.
