The all-round binoculars - the Kolibri 8x42

These binoculars with 8x magnification are excellent for long distances - during the day and in low light conditions. The exit pupil of 5.3 mm is in a range that still allows fatigue-free observation. With a light weight of just 615 g, which is unique for this performance class, the small dimensions of 142/130/49 mm, a field of view of 126 m, which is large for binoculars of this type, and the short close-up range (2.5 m), the possible uses are almost unlimited - for hunting in forest, field and mountains to observations in the world of birds, flowers and insects.

The new generation

The Generation 3 not only comes with a new design with a slim bridge, but also with an improved look. In addition to a completely revised and improved look, the HDX-FMC coating is now also used. In addition, all moving parts of this model, such as diopter, focusing wheel and eyecup, are made of robust light metal. Compared to its predecessor, the weight of the 3rd generation has been reduced by almost 40 g.

Application recommendation

Compared to its counterpart, the Kolibri 10x42, the Kolibri 8x42 offers a considerably larger field of view of 126 m. Especially when it comes to clearly addressing game, these binoculars are ideal for various hunting operations during the day and at dusk. Optical quality, sharpness of detail and brilliance in the image display offer nature lovers, hikers and animal observers an overwhelming viewing experience. Because of the close adjustment range and the wide field of view, these binoculars are also very popular with ornithologists and insect watchers.

Bright and high-contrast binoculars with 8x magnification

A complex phase correction of the roof prism system ensures brilliant, true-color and high-contrast images. There are hardly any scattered light effects in moonlight or backlight. In addition to impressive image brightness, the new HDX-FMC coating used in Generation 3 guarantees an even higher and more glare-free image sharpness right into the edge of the field of view.

Waterproof binoculars, fog-free and focusing from 2.5 m

Focusing on the Kolibri 8x42 works via real internal focusing. An object can be clearly detected from a range of 2.5 m. This also works in the heaviest rain, which does not endanger the binoculars. A nitrogen gas filling ensures that the Kolibri 8x42 is completely waterproof and fogproof.

Complete field of view for spectacle wearers

The Kolibri 8x42 has Z-lock eyecups made of indestructible light metal. These retractable eyecups allow spectacle wearers to enjoy the full field of view. The easily adjustable diopter compensation is located on the right eyepiece.
