The optics make the difference

Fine branches against a bright sky, texture in an animal’s coat or outlines on a distant rock face: these are the details that reveal how clearly binoculars resolve a scene.
ED glass reduces colour fringing along high-contrast edges. This supports clear detail and a natural-looking image.
The dielectric coating on the BaK4 roof prisms provides high light reflectivity and reduces losses along the optical path. Together with fully multi-coated lenses, it supports a bright, brilliant image.
Phase correction performs a separate task: it compensates for phase shifts at the roof surfaces, supporting contrast and resolution. For details that stay in focus.

Distances can be difficult to judge, particularly in open terrain and in the mountains. The integrated laser rangefinder delivers readings directly into the field of view – up to 2,000 m¹, depending on the target and conditions.
The LCD offers five brightness levels for adjustment. At a low setting, the digits can glow subtly red at dusk, allowing you to adapt the display to the ambient light.
¹ Maximum measuring range with highly reflective targets under suitable conditions. Target size, reflectivity, humidity and atmospheric turbulence affect the actual range; natural targets may allow significantly shorter measuring distances.

Damp grass while stalking, a change in weather on the hillside: the UltraView Range combines a sturdy magnesium housing with grippy rubber armour. Its 146 × 111 × 51 mm dimensions keep it comfortably compact.
The housing is waterproof to IPX7 – specified for immersion in water up to 1 m deep for 30 minutes. Nitrogen filling helps prevent the optics from fogging internally.

Why choose a 10x42 for stalking and mountain hunting?
10x magnification helps you recognise detail at a distance. The 42 mm objectives keep the overall size manageable. At 790 g, with a magnesium housing and integrated rangefinder, the UltraView Range is a compact companion for hunting on the move. The angle and horizontal distance readings are particularly useful on sloping terrain.
How do the optics perform at dusk?
ED glass, multi-coated lenses and dielectric-coated prisms support a bright, high-contrast view. The exit pupil measures 4.2 mm. The emphasis is on versatile, portable binoculars; for very low light, light-gathering 56 mm night-hunting binoculars remain the more suitable specialist option.
Do the green and brown models differ technically?
No. Magnification, ED optics, field of view, rangefinder and housing are identical. The only difference is the colour of the rubber armour – choose according to your personal preference.
