The new pocket binoculars from DDoptics
The aim was to create lightweight, easy-to-handle binoculars with equally impressive optical performance. The new Lux-HR 10x25 "Pocket" ED clearly achieves this goal. The Lux-HR "Pocket" ED is so compact that it fits into even the smallest jacket pocket. Despite its robust magnesium housing, the weight has been kept exceptionally low. The optics of this new compact range deliver a bright, clear image that remains impressive even in low ambient light. The Lux-HR "Pocket" ED combines a lightweight, compact design with brilliant optical performance! These binoculars are not only an ideal travel companion, but are also suitable for hiking, nature observation and events.
High-quality optical components
Like all binoculars in the Lux-HR series, the Pocket version uses field-flattener lenses – an entirely new feature for binoculars in this price range. Field-flattener lenses are special optical elements within binoculars that compensate for field curvature to produce an almost flat image. Lines and edges that are naturally bent by the curvature of the lenses are therefore rendered straight again. The benefit: even the finest structures and smallest details remain sharply resolved right out to the edge. The field-flattener lenses also feature a further improved DDlucid coating, a development of the ELR (Extra Low Reflection) coating. DDlucid from DDoptics is currently one of the most effective binocular coatings. Only premium binoculars currently feature similarly advanced coatings. The Schmidt–Pechan roof prism is phase-coated. Together with the dielectric mirror, the phase-correction coating delivers very high colour saturation and contrast, as well as maximum brightness. A fully apochromatic ED optical system reduces colour fringing in backlit conditions and ensures clean outlines.
A secure grip for comfortable observation
Special rubber armouring (Soft Touch Layer) with a textured surface provides excellent grip and slip resistance, even when wet. An ergonomically shaped recess on the bridge gives your fingers a comfortable hold. Thanks to their slim, compact construction, the binoculars fit perfectly in the hand for comfortable, fatigue-free viewing. The adjustable eyecups are made from a high-strength metal alloy. Their rubber coating provides additional protection for the eyepieces against damage during demanding use in the field. Naturally, the Lux-HR Pocket binoculars are also fully waterproof and protected against internal fogging.
