EDX 10x50 binoculars - secure grip and practical design
The open bridge allows the EDX 10x50 binoculars to be held comfortably in one hand, even with gloves in winter. Materials such as magnesium, aluminium and polycarbonate provide maximum robustness while keeping the weight exceptionally low: just 887 g at an overall length of 175 mm. The slim housing is covered in grippy natural-rubber armouring for durability and excellent grip and slip resistance. The exceptionally robust metal-alloy eyecups provide optimum protection for the eyepieces, and the binoculars are waterproof and fog-proof. The entire focus range can be adjusted precisely in just 1.5 turns, allowing even the smallest details to be brought into focus quickly. The dioptre adjustment for glasses wearers is on the right eyepiece and can be locked after setting.

Versatile use for hunting and outdoor activities
Nature lovers and birdwatchers appreciate the 10× magnification alongside natural, high-contrast colour reproduction. The short close-focus distance of 2.4 m allows detailed observation not only of distant subjects but also of nearby birds and insects. These binoculars are equally versatile for hunting. The EDX 10x50 provides valuable service on long stalking trips through woodland and open countryside, in the mountains, at long distances and from a high seat at dawn or dusk. Glasses wearers can comfortably adjust the eyecups to four click-stop positions to achieve the ideal eye relief without losing any field of view. These positions can be firmly fixed, and the clearly defined mechanism prevents accidental adjustment.
Premium optics for brilliant images and sharp resolution
Although the EDX 10x50 is based on the proven Schmidt–Pechan roof-prism system, the glass types used in these binoculars were newly developed. This innovative ED glass (Extra Low Dispersion) reduces colour fringing even more effectively than most ED glass used previously. The result is beautifully balanced, brilliant colours. The PHC 140 phase-correction coating, developed specifically for the EDX 10x50, suppresses 99% of unwanted wave-optical effects and prevents even the slightest blurring.
Innovative coating ensures razor-sharp outlines
The EDX 10x50 reproduces detailed images at the highest resolution currently achievable, without edge blur. This is ensured by the special DDlucid coating additionally applied to the two roof surfaces of the Schmidt–Pechan roof prism. Originating in the Japanese photography industry, this coating is a further development of the well-established ELR coating (Extra Low Reflection). DDlucid is one of the most effective binocular coatings. At present, only premium binoculars feature similarly advanced coatings.

super Fernglas
