Which illuminated dot is fitted to this riflescope?
Our V4 2.5-10x56 riflescope is fitted with a manually controlled fibre-optic illuminated dot as standard.
The best dimmable illuminated dot on the market (also available with IFiber automatic control)
Thanks to fibre-optic technology, the illuminated dot becomes not only dimmer but also finer as its brightness is reduced. The dot is continuously dimmable, from a setting suitable for backlit conditions down to night-vision-device mode.
Night-vision-device mode
Below setting 4, the illuminated dot is only visible through a night-vision device. This allows the use of rear-mounted night-vision devices without the dot reducing the device's performance or causing burn-in.
Advantages of reticles with a fibre-optic illuminated dot
The light remains entirely within the optical fibre, preventing unwanted stray illumination and glare.
The illuminated dot is extremely small, keeping target obstruction to a minimum.
As the brightness is reduced, the illuminated dot becomes not only dimmer but also finer because the light is concentrated in the centre of the optical fibre.
At full brightness, light is guided from the source to the centre of the reticle with virtually no loss. The illuminated dot's optical fibre is fully lit, making it suitable for daylight and backlit conditions.
High-quality reticle with an illuminated dot in the second focal plane
Reticle 4 is in the eyepiece image plane (second focal plane), so its apparent size remains constant when the magnification changes. No tools are needed to adjust the reticle. Each click moves the reticle by 0.25 minutes of angle (MOA), equivalent to 7.3 mm at 100 m. The click adjustment is fully repeatable and can be reset to zero after sighting in, for example when using several ammunition loads.

355 clicks - 88.75 MOA (44.37 MOA in each direction)
The side-mounted, continuously variable parallax adjustment (20 yards to infinity) compensates for off-axis viewing and provides a razor-sharp, comfortable image at every magnification setting. It can also be used to estimate distance.

Outstanding light transmission for high-seat and night hunting
The reflection-free optics deliver an exceptionally bright, high-contrast image with natural colours and outstanding edge-to-edge sharpness. With stray light kept to a minimum, even backlighting does not interfere with the view. Light transmission reaches outstanding values of 94.7% (day) and 93% (night), allowing confident identification of game until the last usable hunting light.
Recommended use
This scope was developed for high-seat hunting at night, so anything unnecessary for night-time use was omitted. Magnification was limited to 10×, providing greater tolerance of lateral eye position. The parallax adjustment can be used to correct focus when using a night-vision device while hunting abroad.
