No dot centring required with the red dot laser
With the open DDsight red dot sights, you never need to worry about centring the dot. As soon as the red dot aligns with the target, you can shoot. Unlike other inexpensive reflex systems, which can exhibit substantial parallax errors, you can always rely on your DDsight. You can continue shooting as long as the target remains visible.
IP54 protection rating
For outdoor use and hunting, a red dot sight needs an IP54 protection rating. The first digit indicates protection against the ingress of foreign objects. The 5 means that the sight and its associated electrical components are protected against harmful quantities of dust. The second digit, 4, indicates protection against water and means that the sight is protected against splashing water. As rain is generally regarded as splashing water, these open reflex sights are well protected.
