Four coloured marking rings – individually adjustable and tactile

The DDoptics ASV makes it easy to mark and find individually selected settings. This optional ballistic turret is the mechanical alternative to the coloured stickers in our ballistics kit: four stacked marking rings identify the settings directly on the turret.

The ASV fits the DDoptics NXT 1.5–15×40 and 2–20×50 riflescopes. It replaces the standard graduated adjustment turret, not the protective cap. The zero stop already integrated into the riflescope remains usable.

Each ring adjusts independently

The marking rings are not positioned using a toothed indexing system. Instead, each ring is secured with a small screw, allowing it to be repositioned independently of the others.

Even a marking on the bottom ring can be changed without dismantling the entire turret or removing the rings above it. The markings already set on the other rings remain in place.

Duralumin instead of plastic

The ballistic turret is made of duralumin, an aluminium alloy. Small, tactile raised sections are located at the coloured marking points. They provide additional grip when turning and make it easier to find your way around the turret by touch.

This is particularly helpful at dusk or in poor light: the marked positions can be felt as well as seen. The tactile markings complement the visible scale; a visual check of the selected setting is still recommended.

Installation and setup

1. Set the zero stop
   After sighting in, first set the existing zero stop in accordance with the riflescope's instructions. It will continue to be used with the ballistic turret.
2. Replace the adjustment turret
   Replace the standard graduated adjustment turret with the ballistic turret and secure it. The marking rings can initially remain loosely fitted.
3. Assign the markings
   Align the coloured rings with the individually selected positions on the scale and secure each one with its screw.
4. Change markings when needed
   Loosen the retaining screw of the relevant ring, reposition the ring and secure it again. The other rings do not need to be removed.

Note: The colours do not represent factory-set distances. They serve as reminders for individually selected settings.
