The Nighteagle V6 5-30x50 riflescope features the successful, modern New Reticle 4.
New Reticle 4 for minimal target obstruction
Looking through the new Generation III riflescopes immediately reveals their practical design:
The crosshair in Reticle 4N is much finer, and the thicker outer posts are now only half as thick and spaced much further apart. This is a significant advantage for hunters in poor light, as it keeps target obstruction to a minimum and supports quick, confident shouldering.
The reticle is in the eyepiece image plane (second focal plane), so its apparent size remains constant when the magnification changes. Even at 30× magnification, the crosshair covers only 3.91 mm of the target at a shooting distance of 100 m, and the field of view at this maximum magnification is still 1.1 m at 100 m. The scope allows rapid target acquisition.
New features
What is new about the latest generation of riflescopes?
Three changes are immediately apparent:
1. The magnification adjustment ring has been noticeably redesigned, with a coarser texture for improved grip.
2. Reticle 4 is considerably finer, leaving more space in the centre.
3. The adjustment turrets are made of metal, have more clearly defined clicks and feature Doubleturn and Zero stop.
Quick reticle adjustment with Zero stop
The dual scale (Doubleturn) on the elevation turret lets you read the number of adjustment clicks made and set it accordingly.
After sighting in, the adjustment can be reset to zero. The Zero stop ring is then turned until it reaches the stop. The zero setting is subsequently locked from below using the Zero stop ring to create a stop at the zero position. Starting from zero, and with knowledge of the ammunition load, different shooting distances can be preset using a marking system. The windage turret has two scales running in opposite directions. Starting from zero, the reticle can be preset to account for wind direction and strength or possible target movement.
From just 25 m, the parallax adjustment ensures a razor-sharp, comfortable image at every magnification setting and corrects aiming error caused by off-axis viewing.

High magnification in low light
Hunting in large areas of open countryside places considerable demands on a riflescope. High magnification enables confident identification of game at long distances, but the image must remain bright enough to use even at high magnification. Our Nighteagle V6 5-30x50 hunting scope was created for this purpose. Its understated hunting design discreetly conceals the scope's capabilities. The compact reticle adjustment turrets are every bit as functional as large tactical turrets.
Robust adjustment mechanism for demanding use
The adjustment turrets on DDoptics Generation III riflescopes are made from a robust aluminium alloy and contain no plastic parts. All aluminium components have the new non-reflective DDoptics “fine-black” anodised finish. The mechanism has been upgraded to a tactical design: it is highly shock-resistant and fully waterproof, with firm adjustment resistance to prevent accidental changes. This means the turrets can also be used exposed, without their screw-on caps, during everyday hunting, allowing quick adjustments to suit the situation.
Optical performance
The sophisticated HD optics use a coating developed specifically for this scope, which eliminates reflections and stray light. Even at 30× magnification, they deliver a high-contrast image with natural colours and outstanding edge-to-edge sharpness. Colour fringing in particular has been reduced to a minimum. The Nighteagle V6 5-30x50 Tactical riflescope can therefore also be used as a spotting scope and for confident identification of game at long distances.
