Which illuminated dot does this rifle scope have?
Our V6 1-6x24 rifle scope is equipped with a manually operated fibre-optic illuminated dot as standard.

Like all 3rd-generation rifle scopes
the V6 1-6x24 comes with the generation's characteristic features.
In addition to improved optics (better coatings and CT glass), it is easier to centre your eye behind the scope, and glass with improved light transmission is used. Particularly notable are the new waterproof metal turrets with firm 0.1 MRAD click adjustments and Zerostop. The deliberately simple driven-hunt reticle and the world's best automatic illuminated dot (IFiber automatic position control) complete this scope.

Ultra-wide field of view
The DDoptics V6 1-6x24 HDX meets almost every requirement a demanding hunter could have of a modern driven-hunt scope. With a compact overall length of 261 mm, a weight of approximately 500 g and a tube diameter of 30 mm, it is easy to handle and fits any rifle. It offers an extremely wide field of view of 37.8 m at 100 m. At its lowest magnification, the driven-hunt scope works like a red-dot sight, supporting one of the most important aspects of driven hunting: rapid target acquisition.

Why a driven-hunt reticle (fineCross)?
Our fibre-optic illuminated dot requires a metal reticle because the optical fibre must run behind the metal wire to the centre of the dot. The metal reticle conceals the fibre. Free-standing illuminated dots and reticles are therefore ruled out, as these would have to be implemented using fibre-optic reticles. The major advantage of the fibre-optic dot is that light is concentrated and guided to the centre with minimal loss, improving the dot's final brightness. It also emits light only at the centre of the dot rather than illuminating the entire interior of the scope. This is particularly important when using night vision equipment behind the scope. A metal reticle is therefore virtually indispensable for DDoptics. Its simplest form is a plain crosshair. Experienced shooters of moving game also prefer this reticle because it creates little distraction from the target. DDoptics deliberately omits lead marks in favour of rapid target acquisition. Depending on the distance and the angle at which game approaches, lead marks are often of limited use because the required lead can only be estimated. As many shooters today have experience with reflex sights, we decided to keep the reticle as unobtrusive as possible.

Wide zoom range, generous exit pupil
Thanks to its 6x zoom range, the V6 1-6x24 HDX also supports responsible shots at longer distances, for example when game moves towards cover in the distance or pauses. The large exit pupil (11.4-4 mm) further supports fast, confident target acquisition, helping the hunter bring the target into view with both eyes those crucial fractions of a second sooner.

Bright illuminated dot in the reticle
The new driven-hunt reticle remains the same apparent size when magnification changes (2nd focal plane). It also features a fine, reflection-free red fibre-optic illuminated dot with precise, continuous dimming. The illumination unit is conveniently positioned on the eyepiece. Fibre-optic technology prevents stray light and glare, so there is no distracting bloom or reflection when the dot is switched on. Each click adjusts the reticle by 0.1 MRAD (1 cm at 100 m). The firm tactical click adjustment is fully repeatable. The eyepiece ring for enlarging or reducing the reticle is easy to grip and non-slip.

Total adjustment range:
484 clicks - 48.4 MRAD (24.2 MRAD in each direction)

Recommended use:
With an extremely wide field of view of almost 40 m and a 6x zoom for comfortable aiming even at longer distances, the V6 1-6x24 HDX is ideally suited to IPSC and driven hunts. A reflection-free, clearly visible fibre-optic illuminated dot supports confident, rapid target acquisition and shots at moving game. Recommended without restriction for all IPSC Rifle disciplines.
