Which red dot is installed in this rifle scope?

A manual fiber optic red dot is installed in our V6 1-6x24 rifle scope as standard.

Why a drive hunt reticle (fineCross)?

In order to be able to install our glass fiber illuminated dot, a real metal reticle is required in any case, since we have to guide the glass fiber to the center of the illuminated dot behind the metal wire. The glass fiber should of course be covered by the metal reticle. Free-standing illuminated dots and reticles are therefore not available, since they would have to be implemented using fiberglass reticles. However, the glass fiber light dot has the great advantage that the light is bundled and guided to the center with little loss, which has a positive effect on the final brightness of the light dot. In addition, the fiber optic light dot only shines in the center of the light dot and does not illuminate the entire interior of the scopes, which is of particular importance when using night vision technology behind the rifle scopes. The metal reticle is therefore almost without alternative for DDoptics. The simplest form is of course a simple cross. The experienced fugitive shooter also prefers this reticle because of its low deflection from the target. DDoptics deliberately dispenses with lead points in favor of fast target acquisition. Depending on the distance and approach angle of the game, lead points often make little sense, since the lead point can only be determined approximately. Since the majority of today's shooters have experience with pure reflex sights, we decided to keep the reticle as unobtrusive as possible.

The new drive hunt reticle remains the same size when changing magnification (2nd focal plane), and is also equipped with a fine, non-reflective red glass fiber illuminated dot that can be dimmed precisely and steplessly. The red dot unit is attached to the eyepiece in a user-friendly manner. The glass fiber technology ensures that side effects and fades are excluded. When the illuminated dot is activated, neither annoying blooming nor reflections are a problem. The reticle moves by 0.1 MRAD (1 cm at 100 m) per click. The hard, tactical click adjustment works with absolute repeatability. The interchangeable ring for enlarging / reducing the reticle on the eyepiece is non-slip.

Application recommendation

With an extremely wide field of view of almost 40 m and a 6x zoom, the V6 1-6x24 HDX scopes are ideal for comfortable sighting, even at longer distances, for IPSC, drive hunts and deer stalking. A non-reflecting and excellently perceptible glass fiber red dot gives the hunter a high level of security when aiming quickly and taking a quick shot. Unreservedly recommended for all IPSC Rifle disciplines.
